OPD Services
The facility of computerized refraction is
available at a nominal charge. We have five
imported Auto Refractors ( Canon, Nidek ) for this
purpose.
.
Each
surgeon at the OPD has been provided with a separate
room equipped
with an imported high quality slit lamp.
Facility of refraction & tonometer to
record tension is available. Lensometer, Indirect
opthalmoscope is also available.
Recently in one of the rooms, patient's
examination chair has been provided which has tilting
facility and where all instruments needed at the
outdoor are fitted therein.
The
Hospital provides free services to poor persons and
those who are in a position to pay are charged only a
nominal rate. No
consultancy fee is charged excepting a registration
charge of Rs. 100/-.
Operation
Theatre
The
Hospital is equipped with modern air conditioned
operation theatre.
We have 3 microscopes
Takagi OM 10 &OM 5 alongwith 7 operation
tables including 3 motorized Plantech tables with all
necessary equipments for the operations.
Microsurgery/Phaco in operation theatre
The Hospital has recently installed BPL
defibrillator with recording system to meet the
needs of Cardiac emergencies during operations.
Hospital has also installed E.C.G. machine so that
patients coming for fitness before operation could
avail the advantage at subsidized rates, if advised
by the Physician. Hospital has installed a Phaco
machine (CV/6000/40/AFC Phaco Emulsification
Machine) imported from Japan to provide better
suture less surgery to the patients.
IOL
implant and Yag Lazer
Hospital
started IOL implant surgery in 1993.
Hospital has a computerized A-Scan to determine
the power of lens to be implanted.
This
facility of IOL implant, being costlier, was till now only availed by affluent persons, has been
extended to lower middle and poor class at a concessional charge. However, in this surgery, posterior capsule thickening occurs
in few cases, which require capsulotomy.
In order to help lower middle class & poor
patients who had to go without it and suffer low
visual acuity even after the implant of lens and due
to heavy charges in the market, we have provided the
facility of a Carl Zeiss Yag Lazer at a nominal
charge.
